Lineamientos para fortalecer la habitabilidad urbana en el espacio público caso de estudio: Ronda hídrica quebrada la mugrosa

Abstract

El desarrollo urbano en las ciudades latinoamericanas genera cada vez retos más grandes en la planificación y reestructuración del territorio, principalmente es un hecho que en las ciudades existe un crecimiento poblacional que obedece en parte a la migración desde lo rural a lo urbano en búsqueda de mejores oportunidades educativas, laborales, y servicios especializados entre otros factores. En muchos casos se desconoce el papel que tiene el espacio público, sus condiciones e importancia en el tejido social de las comunidades actuales y futuras en la estructura urbana. La investigación tiene como objetivo proponer lineamientos urbanísticos que permitan una mayor habitabilidad del Espacio Público y un mejor aprovechamiento de áreas pertenecientes a la Estructura Ecológica Principal de la Quebrada La Mugrosa del Municipio de Ibagué, que conlleve a fortalecer la Habitabilidad Urbana. Método. La investigación es de carácter mixto, el análisis cualitativo se realizó a partir de las respuestas de habitabilidad de un grupo focal (con 8 participantes) y el análisis cuantitativo a partir de las respuestas de la escala de Páramo y Burbano (2013) sobre habitabilidad del espacio público (con 70 participantes). Resultados. Por medio del análisis de contenido y del análisis estadístico descriptivo se estableció que los aspectos ambientales, de cultura y convivencia son los mejor valorados por los habitantes, los aspectos con una valoración más negativa se asocian a los aspectos de movilidad, seguridad, recreación y contemplación del paisaje urbano. Aspectos que se fortalecen en la propuesta de gestión urbana.

The urban development in Latin American cities generates increasingly great challenges in planning and restructuring the territory, mainly it is a fact that in cities there is a population growth that is partly due to migration from rural to urban in search of better educational and job opportunities, specialized services among other factors. In many cases, the role of public space, its conditions and importance in the social fabric of current and future communities in the urban structure is unknown. The objective of the research is to propose guidelines that allow a greater habitability of the Public Space and a better use of areas belonging to the Main Ecological Structure of the La Mugrosa ravine of the Municipality of Ibague, which leads to strengthening the Urban Habitability. The research is of a mixed nature, the qualitative analysis was carried out based on the habitability responses of a focus group (with 8 participants) and the quantitative analysis based on the responses of the Paramo and Burbano scale (2013) on the habitability of the public space (with 70 participants). Results through content analysis and descriptive statistical analysis, it was established that the environmental, cultural and coexistence aspects are the best valued by the inhabitants, the aspects with a more negative evaluation are associated with the aspects of mobility, safety, recreation and contemplation of the urban landscape. Aspects that gave emphasis to the design of the proposal.
