Impacto de los operadores logísticos el comercio exterior en Colombia

Abstract

Actualmente las empresas se ven enfrentadas a un mundo globalizado y a los obstáculos y beneficios que esto representa para el desarrollo de sus actividades; es ahí donde el comercio exterior y la logística toma importancia para las compañías con el fin de aprovechar las nuevas oportunidades que se generan al expandir sus mercados; debido a que las empresas no solo comienzan a comercializar a nivel nacional sino que también a nivel internacional, surgiendo en el mercado compañías que facilitan a las pequeñas, medianas y grandes empresas su interacción con el mercado. A estas empresas se les denomino Operadores Logísticos los cuales han venido teniendo una gran importancia a nivel mundial ya que surgieron para facilitar la cadena de suministro de las empresas, ayudándoles a enfocarse en su “core business”, a disminuir costos, tiempo y procesos. Debido a su gran importancia estos operadores logísticos han empezado a surgir en los principales puertos del mundo, hoy en día ya hay algunas empresas posicionadas en el mercado como lo son Maersk, Cosco y Csclchina Shippind Container Lines. En Colombia estas compañías operadoras se conocen de maneras diferentes como por ejemplo las empresas de transporte, navieras, agencias de aduanas etc; esto debido a que aún no se ha creado una ley que los agrupe como un sector o gremio, sin embargo, actualmente en Colombia hay empresas prestadoras de servicios logísticos las cuales están especializadas en diferentes actividades como almacenamiento, gestión de inventarios, transporte, distribución etc.; debido a estas especialidades las empresas han optado por tercerizar algunas actividades de su logística ayudando a así a las pequeñas medianas y grandes empresas a ser más competitivas en el mercado.

These companies are called Logistics Operators that have already become very important worldwide since they emerged to facilitate the supply chain of companies, helping them to focus on their "core business", to reduce costs, time and processes. Due to their great importance, these logistics operators have begun to emerge in the main ports of the world, today there are already some companies positioned in the market such as Maersk, Cosco and Csclchina Shippind Container Lines. In Colombia, these operating companies are known in different ways, for example, transport companies, shipping companies, customs agencies, etc. This is due to the fact that a law has not yet been created that groups them as a sector or a guild, however, at present in Colombia there are companies providing logistic services that are specialized in different activities such as storage, inventory management, transportation, distribution, etc. ; Due to this, companies have chosen to outsource some logistics activities that help small businesses and large companies to be more competitive in the market.
