dc.description.abstractLa ampliación del Museo Nacional de Colombia, tiene como fin responder al programa de conservación e incremento de las colecciones y brindar al público de hoy y de las futuras generaciones, la totalidad de los servicios dignos del gran Museo Nacional que merecemos los colombianos. Se agregará un área de 26.000 metros cuadrados al Museo actual, más 10.000 metros de espacio público y otros 10.000 metros de zonas de parqueo, con el fin de garantizar la más alta calidad en las exigencias de conservación, investigación y exhibición para el Museo Nacional de los colombianos del siglo XXI. El proyecto de ampliación permitirá convertir el antiguo edificio en una especie de «túnel del tiempo» que ofrecerá a los visitantes un panorama de la historia de la cultura nacional a través de sus grandes momentos. Se dispondrán de varios pabellones entre ellos: “Pabellón de Etnografía” que se consagrará a la investigación y exhibición de los testimonios y tradiciones de los grupos indígenas y de las poblaciones afro colombianas que han contribuido a hacer de Colombia un país multiétnico y pluricultural. “Pabellón de Arte” exhibirá en forma permanente una selección de piezas ilustrativas del desarrollo artístico en Colombia, desde la época prehispánica hasta el presente, con una pequeña sección internacional que permitirá al público no sólo comprender la situación del arte colombiano en el contexto latinoamericano y universal, sino acceder a la contemplación directa de obras notables de otras culturas. Estos pabellones se integrarán al de Historia de la Nación e incluirán, además de los espacios de exhibición permanente y temporal, las áreas técnicas destinadas a la conservación de las colecciones en reserva -las cuales deberán prever su crecimiento futuro-, laboratorios de investigación y restauración, zonas de documentación y consulta abiertas al público, una gran sala múltiple que acogerá anualmente el Salón Nacional de Artistas organizado por el Ministerio de Cultura, y los distintos programas pedagógicos y demás servicios complementarios fundamentales para hacer más grata y enriquecedora la visita al Museo.es
dc.description.abstractThe amplification of the National Museum of Colombia has as end to respond to the conservation program and increment of the collections and to offer to today's public and of the future generations, the entirety of the services worthy of the great National Museum that we deserve the Colombians. An area of 26.000 square meters will be added to the current Museum, more 10.000 meters of space public and other 10.000 meters of parking areas, with the purpose of guaranteeing the highest quality in the conservation demands, investigation and exhibition for the National Museum of the Colombians of the XXI century. The amplification project will allow to convert the old building in kind of a "tunnel of the time" that will offer the visitors a panorama of the history of the national culture through its big moments. They will have several pavilions among them: "Pavilion of Ethnography" that will be consecrated to the investigation and exhibition of the testimonies and traditions of the indigenous groups and of the Colombian African-American populations that have contributed to make multi of Colombia a country multi ethnic and pluri-cultural . "Pavilion of Art" it will exhibit in permanent form a selection of illustrative pieces of the artistic development in Colombia, from the prehispanic time until the present, with a small international section that will only allow the public not to understand the situation of the Colombian art in the Latin American and universal context, but consenting to the direct view of works notables of other cultures. These pavilions will be integrated to that of History of the Nation and they will include, besides the spaces of permanent and temporary exhibition, the technical areas dedicated to the conservation of the collections in reservation - which will foresee their future growth -, investigation laboratories and restoration, documentation areas and consultation open to the public, a great multiple room that will welcome the National Living room of Artists organized by the Ministry of Culture, and the different programs pedagogic and other fundamental complementary services to make more pleasing and enriching the visit to the Museum annually.
