dc.description.abstractEl departamento del Valle del Cauca se ha convertido en uno de los principales centros de desarrollo económico en la zona sur occidente del país. Igualmente, se encuentra catalogado como el tercer departamento en producción industrial favorecido por su topografía y por el Puerto de Buenaventura que facilita las actividades comerciales y de transporte. El embalse Calima resulta relevante para el futuro del departamento, además de su cuerpo de agua de gran extensión, cuenta con importantes riquezas naturales, una ubicación estratégica, un escenario deportivo internacional y producción de energía renovable -por medio de la hidroeléctrica. Este proyecto responde a las proyecciones futuras del departamento como nodo turístico de la región y se estructura con el fin de dinamizar las actividades del Embalse. Donde el transporte acuático toma papel como eje articulador del Embalse, este vinculara el proyecto y lo ubicara como hito de transporte y punto de accesibilidad para los municipios de la región.es
dc.description.abstractThe department of Valle del Cauca has become one of the principal centers for economic growth in the southwestern region of the country. At the same time, it has come in as the third best department for industrial production for its topography and for the Port of Buenaventura, which facilitates commercial activity and transportation. The Calima reservoir is one focal point for the future of the department, besides is a vast body of water, it contains a rich natural habitat, a strategic location, an international sports stage and production of renewable energy through its hydroelectric plant. This project responds to the future projections of the department as a tourist point for the region and is structured to give the reservoir dynamic activities, where water sports take center stage as the guiding articulator for the reservoir. This will unite the project and will place it as a milestone for transportation and a point of accessibility for the municipalities of the region. The end goal of the project is to create a point of convergence for different stages (tourism and athletics), taking advantage of the importance to create a space for awareness via the hydro resources of the area. Through a project composed of a natural park, whose has a fundamental guide of public access the connects the project with the reservoir via a port and lighthouse, a design based on the conceptualization of the typology of the Calima settlement, a vectorized floor that looks to give continuity the urban spaces along the border of the lot. An architectural development based on the landscape and the experimental form of the reservoir, which delivers a way to look at tourism and the athletic practices in a natural setting that is linked to an influential natural body of water.eng
